Detailed Itinerary
6 days, planned end to end
- Day 1
NJP / Bagdogra to Darjeeling
A three-hour climb through tea gardens to Darjeeling (6,700 ft). Evening walk on the Mall Road. Overnight Darjeeling.
- Day 2
Tiger Hill sunrise and local sightseeing
Pre-dawn drive to Tiger Hill, then the Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock and the Ropeway. Overnight Darjeeling.
- Day 3
Darjeeling to Gangtok
Drive along the Teesta to Gangtok. Evening free on MG Marg. Overnight Gangtok.
- Day 4
Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
Full-day high-altitude excursion. Nathula is optional at extra cost. Overnight Gangtok.
- Day 5
Gangtok local sightseeing
Rumtek Monastery, Do-Drul Chorten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Ganesh Tok, Tashi View Point and the handicraft centre. Overnight Gangtok.
- Day 6
Departure
Transfer to NJP or Bagdogra. Tour ends.
