Detailed Itinerary
6 days, planned end to end
- Day 1
Guwahati to Shillong
Drive via the Umiam Lake view point into Shillong. Evening at Police Bazar. Overnight Shillong.
- Day 2
Shillong to Cherrapunji
Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak, then on to Cherrapunji for Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave and the Eco Park. Overnight Cherrapunji.
- Day 3
Double Decker Root Bridge trek
A full-day 3,500-step descent and climb to Nongriat for the double-decker living root bridge and the rainbow falls. Overnight Cherrapunji.
- Day 4
Dawki and Mawlynnong
Drive to Dawki for boating on the Umngot, then Mawlynnong village and the single-decker root bridge at Riwai. Overnight Shillong.
- Day 5
Shillong at leisure
Don Bosco Museum, Ward's Lake, the cathedral and shopping. Overnight Shillong.
- Day 6
Departure
Transfer to Guwahati airport or railway station.
